Instrument Pilot
Instrument Pilot
If you choose to continue your flying career you will want to add a instrument rating to your private pilot certificate. The instrument rating allows you to fly when the weather is less than perfect, it will make you a better and more precise pilot. You learn to fly an airplane by sole reference to the flight instruments. Once you have developed these skills we will advance and add navigation and communication in compliance with ATC procedures under instrument flying rules. We will cover departure, en-route, and arrival procedures, holding patterns, and instrument approach procedures. Then we put all this training together and head out on IFR cross country flights! The challenge this rating presents is well worth the reward and the flexibility that comes along with it! You will feel much more comfortable when you sit in the cockpit en-route to where ever your travels take you.
